Delivering Agenda 2063 STYIP – Agenda 2063 in Power Spaces

Framing Concept

This module pushes each trainee to reimagine their commitments as part of a bolder transformation—one that doesn’t settle for incremental progress, but catalyses real systems change. The 7 Moonshots of Agenda 2063 serve as both targets and inspiration.

Objectives

  • Introduce “Moonshot Thinking” as a mindset of boldness and transformation.
  • Deepen understanding of the 7 Moonshots and their systemic interlinkages.
  • Equip participants to refine their commitments using three delivery texts: value proposition, political anchoring, and delivery systems.
  • Guide analysis of one key policy instrument that supports their Moonshot-aligned commitment through the lens of power spaces.

Content

  • What is a Moonshot? What makes a goal bold but achievable?
  • The 7 Moonshots of Agenda 2063: What systems must shift for each?
  • Review of insights from Delivering Development Plans on strategic fit and political anchoring.
  • How to apply the “Three Tests of Strategic Integrity” – value proposition, political anchoring and delivery system – to your personal or organizational commitments.
  • Diagnostic: Which Moonshot(s) does my commitment contribute to? How can I amplify impact?

Key Messages

  • Ambition must be structured. Moonshots only succeed with the right delivery systems.
  • A value proposition inspires; a delivery system sustains.
  • Anchored commitments are the ones that endure.

Deliverable

📄 Deliverable 4: Written Note on Moonshot Thinking
A 1–2 pager personal brief reflecting on:

  • How one or more Agenda 2063 Moonshots relate to their commitments.
  • How they revised or strengthened their original commitments through this lens.
  • Identification and critique of one existing policy or plan (national/local/continental) that can enable or block progress—plus suggestions for modification.

Facilitators

  • Mentors/Coaches – Supporting ambition expansion and systemic framing.
  • Agenda 2063 Technical Experts – Providing context on Moonshots and delivery systems.
