About Course

The Agenda 2063 Traineeship is a 12-week, remote, mentored work experience that equips youth and early-career professionals across Africa and the diaspora with the skills, tools, and insights to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s transformation. Through structured modules aligned with the Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (STYIP) of Agenda 2063, trainees deepen awareness, align commitments, engage with Moonshots, build partnerships, activate knowledge, and reflect on their unique role in delivering “The Africa We Want.”

The programme is curated by the “Agenda 2063 Academy” under the leadership of the African Union Commission (AUC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Course Content

Africa’s transformation depends on leaders who understand strategy, systems, and the power of Agenda 2063. This programme equips young people across Africa and the diaspora to engage, contribute, and lead—starting now.

Structure: 6 Modules + Final Reflection
Programme Summary Duration: 12 Weeks Time Commitment: 6–10 hours per week

Module 1: Overview – Envisioning Africa @2063
Title: Africa as We Dream It. Framing Concept: Agenda 2063 is not just a framework; it’s a generational commitment. The overview introduces Africa’s long-term vision through a celebration of its past, clarity of its present, and shaping of its future.

Module 2: Deepen Awareness – Understanding Agenda 2063’s Value Proposition

Module 3: Align to Own Commitments – Personal Pathways to 2063

Module 4: Orient Towards Moonshots – Raising Ambition, Reinforcing Strategy

Module 5: Engage in Partnership – Mapping Allies, Mobilizing Support

Module 6: Activate Knowledge – Curate, Share, Apply

Module 7: Write-Up and Reflection – “Agenda 2063 and Me”
